Scars

It’s been a while since,
I felt cold metal on my skin,
The iciness of the cuts,
The beautiful emptiness.
It’s been a while since,
I looked at my thighs,
and saw art carved
Into my skin.
It’s been a while since,
there was silence so deep
It made my ears hurt.
It’s been a while since,
I last felt the pain,
And,
I’m beginning to miss it.

Snow

As the snow melts,
So do I,
Into the cold,
White,
Slush,
That I used to be,
before the cold beauty of winter,
Buried me in it’s icy depths,
And burdened me with it’s sorrow.

Whispers

Whispers, whispers in the dark,
Travel straight towards my heart,
Whispers, whispers, in the day,
Make me think I’ll be okay.

Whispers, whispers, in my ear,
Even they don’t make me think clear,
Whispers, whispers, maybe lies?
What words can make me see clear skies?

Whispers, whispers, shape my mind,
Tell me I am one of a kind,
Whispers, whispers, don’t be mean,
Because then my heart would be wiped clean.

Whispers, whispers, in the air,
Guide me well without a care,
Whispers, whispers, leave a scar,
Prove you’re here, just leave a mark.

What if I were Dreaming

Posted in Poems, Sad Poems with tags , , , , , , , , on September 27, 2013 by Myra's Circle

What if,
I were to start dreaming
And
NEVER
WAKE UP?

Would you look for me?
Would you try to
Save me?

How would you look at me,
Asleep in my bed,
Stuck in an endless
Vortex?

Would you pretend

like

I

didn’t

even

Exist?

The Loneliness of Dark

Posted in Poems, Sad Poems with tags , , , , , , , on September 4, 2013 by Myra's Circle

When all else fails,
My final regret,
My only escape,
My only freedom is dark.
When darkness comes,
It comes alone,
Free of others’ dark influence,
Taking everything,
Leaving me lonely.
It takes my dreams,
Renders me lost,
I can’t breathe,
But somehow,
I don’t want to.
The only thing I ever wanted,
The only life I needed,
The only escape I had,
Was
The empty loneliness of dark.

The Broken’s Cry

Posted in Poems, Sad Poems with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 27, 2013 by Myra's Circle

It was a dark and rainy night
The sky falling into ruins
Hopelessness befalling the broken
As they tried once more to feel something.
Screaming at the lowly skies
They whisper softly of sadness
Of loneliness
Of despair.
The broken are not the lonely
It’s something more than that
A sort of sadness
That can’t be felt
By unbroken souls.
They cry out
And scream
Their calls are but a whisper
To the ones who
Do not break.
Those lucky
lonely
People.

Welcome to Wonderland

She was crazy, she was mad,
That’s what they all said,
Chasing down a daydream,
So unrealistically.
Look again, I beg you,
Look at her now,
Now the rabbit’s chasing her,
And there’s no help to be found,
When Wonderland is no longer
Wonderful as such,
And the Cheshire cat no longer wants to,
Help a sinner out,
She screams and then she cries,
But it only makes it worse,
Only seems to make more problems,
A different sort of curse.

Welcome to Wonderland,
A place no living creature understands,
Welcome to her doom,
It waits at the gates, it’ll be here soon.

The hatter he was madder,
Than the pain she had inside,
And when he threw that party,
She had wondered if she’d died,

The feeling was still there no matter,
How hard she had tried,
The rabbit tried to steal her time,
That which she’d tried to bide,

Welcome to Wonderland,
A place no living creature understands,
Welcome to her doom,
It waits at the gates, it’s coming soon.

Then the rabbit led her back through that tiny rabbit hole,
He guarded very safely that precious human soul,
But then he stabbed her in the back,
Her doom was sealed like that,
I wonder what became of her,
And of her precious Cheshire cat.
