Blood and Memories

Posted in Poems, Sad Poems with tags , , , , , , , on March 1, 2013 by Myra's Circle

The blood of memories seeps through my heart,

Burning it, destroying it,

Making it pay,

For the demons it faced.

The love of all things past leaves my mind,

In ruins, lost,

For why would I care,

About those that left?

The memories of smiles strike me like iron,

A lightning bolt of despair,

Killing me, destroying me inside,

For what is a smile,

But what I have become?

Tired Bliss

My thoughts slow,

As slow as they go,

My body won’t react fast,

Somehow I’m always last,

But don’t cure me of this sure feeling of bliss,

This feeling that I’ll definitely miss.

My eyes will close soon,

Like the moon,

I love this feeling,

That my mind has reeling,

Of pure tired bliss.

Live Again

I listen unfeeling,

to the tree bark un-peeling,

My mind is reeling,

I’m tired of dealing,

My body is keeling,

From the rough sealing,

Of my coffin feeling.

I breathe in the scent of trees,

The world is all I see,

There’s nowhere else to be,

I feel ever-so-free,

To be me,

Is my final decree.
