Where is Heaven?

Where is Heaven now?
Now that Hell is here?
The angels take a bow,
The demons, we must fear.

Now Hell has frozen over,
And Heaven’s simply bored,
The demon’s pick the clovers,
The sharpest possible claws.

They sniff at all the flowers,
Which then wilt away,
The angels start to cower,
The demons watch with dismay.

The sun sets on the colder world,
A job done by Hell,
And Heaven’s in a corner curled,
Their hearts beating in a swell.

What do demons truly see?
A world that they could own?
And anything I thought could be,
But Heaven’s not at home.

So where, then, is this force?
When Hell isn’t done,
When we scream with voices hoarse,
Whilst Hell has its fun?

I’m Fine

I know
I said I was fine,
And I may even believed it for a while,
But now,
I’m not so sure,
That it is true.

Scars

It’s been a while since,
I felt cold metal on my skin,
The iciness of the cuts,
The beautiful emptiness.
It’s been a while since,
I looked at my thighs,
and saw art carved
Into my skin.
It’s been a while since,
there was silence so deep
It made my ears hurt.
It’s been a while since,
I last felt the pain,
And,
I’m beginning to miss it.

When I’ll Stop Loving You

When oceans dry up,
And the stars fall to the sea,
I’ll stop loving you.

Snow

As the snow melts,
So do I,
Into the cold,
White,
Slush,
That I used to be,
before the cold beauty of winter,
Buried me in it’s icy depths,
And burdened me with it’s sorrow.

Some Mornings

Sometimes,
There are mornings,
When everything’s quiet,
Silent, as blank as a new canvas,
And it is beautiful.
Sometimes,
There are mornings,
When no one asks,
Why I’m crying,
No one questions,
The little comments,
I make to myself.
Sometimes,
There are mornings,
When there is nothing at all,
But silence,
Painted in the lonely sky,
When the sun forgets to rise.

To Dear Mirror

To dear, dear mirror,
In you I see myself,
In you I see destruction,
And the pain that I have felt.

To dear, dear mirror,
In you, I place my trust,
You show me who I am,
But that’s only the crust.

You do not show my memories,
You do not show my mind,
You do not show the sadness,
That attacked me from behind.

To dear, dear mirror,
You only show me lies,
You only show me evidence,
Of what makes me cry.
