Here Comes the Sun

Posted in Happy Poems, Hopeful Poems, Poems with tags , , , , , on December 13, 2013 by Myra's Circle

Here comes the sun,
Razing down the sky,
Touching the Earth,
It’s hand now gentle.

Here comes the sun,
Peeking past mountains,
Through the tendrils of time,
And in branches of trees.

Here comes the sun,
Battling the moon,
For every glory,
That the Earth owns.

Here comes the sun,
the light on our faces,
The longest joy, and yet,
Our darkest heart.

Here comes the sun,
Blasting the heavens,
With golden strings of light,
As it blesses the dreamers.

When I’ll Stop Loving You

When oceans dry up,
And the stars fall to the sea,
I’ll stop loving you.

Words In Sand

Posted in Happy Poems, Hopeful Poems, Nature Poems, Poems with tags , , , , , , , , , on November 10, 2013 by Myra's Circle

Words written in sand,
Never fade,
They float to people’s hearts,
Carried by the winds and the oceans.
Words written on stone,
While away with time,
The oceans wearing the tired rock,
Into something small and meaningless.
But words written on paper,
Fade slowly and beautifully,
Unashamed of their short lifespan,
Their meaning burnt into our hearts.

Dancing in the Rain

Posted in Happy Poems, Hopeful Poems, Poems, Sad Poems with tags , , , , , , , on November 10, 2013 by Myra's Circle

I can hear the rain falling,
It’s soft pitter-patter dancing
On the roof,
I can hear the storm,
Rolling in,
Over the crests of the stars,
I can see the world as it folds in on itself,
Allowing room for the storm,
Waiting for the destruction.
And in that moment,
The world is silent,
No creature daring to utter
A single,
Word,
All but one,
Who screams,
And throws her hands in the air,
As she dances in the rain.

The Dream

Posted in Happy Poems, Hopeful Poems, Poems, Sad Poems with tags , , , , , , , on September 10, 2013 by Myra's Circle

One day

I had a dream

of beauty

And sadness

Of hope

and of love.

One day

I had a dream

of reminders

of the past.

Twas a dream of a dream

not much more,

won’t add to much

only actions

Only words.

Words that will destroy

so many ugly things

bring hope

wonder

Freedom.

Words

that

Matter.

This dream is

what I am

Who I am

and what I will

Accomplish.

Time

Posted in Happy Poems, Poems with tags , , , , , , , , , , on August 2, 2013 by Myra's Circle

I live and die, as time parts,
Into two separate things,
It becomes music,
And Wisdom.
It parts so gently, you cannot see,
How beautiful,
How wonderful,
The gap so small.
I wonder how the time is bought,
How is it we all dream
Of saving time?
What’s the point in saving time?
Where does it go?
What becomes of it?
It leaves only a broken wreck,
Of shattered dreams,
And torn hearts.
How do we justify,
The decisions we make
To save time,
Like droplets of
Precious water?
How do we know when
We’ve saved enough?
Time is Wisdom,
And Wisdom is money,
How strange the turn of things,
When you think about,
Time.

She is

Posted in Happy Poems, Hopeful Poems, Poems, Sad Poems with tags , , , , , , , on August 1, 2013 by Myra's Circle

She is beautiful,

Simple like a flower,

Open to new ideas,

Her petals reaching out.

She is confident,

Dripping with laughter,

Every moment,

Of every day.

She is perfect,

From her hair to her eyes,

Oh, those sparkling, sad eyes,

She is worth it.

She is beautiful,

My hope, my dreams, my heart,

She is everything,

She is who I want to be

She is not me.

My Smile

Posted in Happy Poems, Hopeful Poems, Poems with tags , , , , , , , on June 28, 2013 by Myra's Circle

Beauty and colours,
For the first in a long while,
I can’t sleep at night,
I don’t want to miss a second of my smile.

Sunshine, and warm embraces,
Warm upon my shoulders,
The warmth spreads further,
Squashes the sadness like boulders.

Mindlessness and silence,
That’s my state of mind,
It feels so good right now,
Happiness of a kind.

The world feels beautiful again,
Now my smile is here,
It feels so different,
From the ones that cover tears.

No longer faked, no more pretend,
I know my smile is real,
It no longer needs to cover up,
All the troubles that I feel.

This Angel Saved my Life

Posted in Happy Poems, Hopeful Poems, Poems with tags , , , , , , , , , on June 7, 2013 by Myra's Circle

Lost and lonely,
I searched,
For some sort of savior,
To rescue me.

I screamed louder,
No one came,
No one aided,
The lost, lonely one.

I asked for help,
You didn’t come running,
You couldn’t or wouldn’t,
I don’t know which.

Louder and louder I tried to scream,
It was the end,
Surely,
But then something miraculous happened.

White light, brighter than the sun,
An angel appeared and saved me,
She whispered quietly, “It’ll be fine,”
And I took her hand and flew far away.

Escape, finally, someone came to my aid,
I was free from this burden, and all else,
For this angel, she saved me,
She saved me from my darkness.

The Cycle

Happiness returns again,
Fades in and out,
It lives inside for a while, and then,
My mind is filled with doubts.

It is a circle, a wild cycle,
It never seems to cease,
My mind refills and now is full,
Of sadness thick as grease.

I look out at my present and wonder,
I wonder how it could be,
How this sadness, and hunger,
For something more to be.

I cry a little at life’s imperfections,
Then smile a little about mine,
It’s a disease, a rapid infection,
From it I learn to be kind.

It comes again, the cycle repeats,
It never seems to end,
Yet still my sad heart beats,
Forever, and ever, my friend.
