Love is the Greatest Sacrifice

Painful dying, that is love,

Dying, flying, high, like a dove.

Plentiful lying for all to hear,

Sadness in that horrible leer.

Love is for those who are full of heart,

It strikes right through, accurate as a dart.

Love is the tear that falls ever alone,

The strength that comes that one cannot condone.

A smile pulled out from nowhere,

Love such as that is found everywhere.

Love is being strong, for no reason at all,

The sadness so long, the one who stands tall.

Love is living, giving yourself up,

When you are all but out of luck.

The sacrifice of love’s first kiss,

Don’t come late, or that you’ll miss.

The greatest sacrifice that is of man,

Is love, above all pain it stands.
